For the past few years I've been vending at the 626 & OC Night Markets. These are amazingly fun events that take place at two locations here in SoCal. 626 Night Market takes place at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia and OC Night Market takes place at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. In a nutshell, this is primarily a food festival based around asian/american fusion food. But as of late a lot of other cultures are jumping into the mix brining their own amazing flavors. You'll find anything from lobster to boba to churros and ice cream....tacos, burritos, sushi, noodles....etc.
Me? I don't sell food there....I eat it. But I do sell my art there as they set up a small area for artists and crafters. This has become one of my best and biggest events of the year. I really enjoy the variety in the audience, it's not just your typical comic book/movie fans one encounters at a comic convention.
This event is getting bigger each year and I am glad to be part of it's growth. These Night Markets take place about 8 times per year over the summer spanning from May through September. Labor Day weekend will be the last event of the year, the link to their site is provided on this page either to the right side or the way bottom of this page (depending if you'r reading this on your desktop or your phone). So if you haven't had a chance to drop by this event, you last chance for 2017 will be September 1-3, Labor Day Weekend at Santa Anita Park. Come find me at the Art Walk.
